Badges
I earned the Apple Teacher Badge. Apple Teacher is a website where teachers can be certified to be Apple Teacher to know how to utilize iPads and/or Mac Computers. I am certified for iPads and I achieved this by taking 8 quizzes and pass all 8 to receive the certificate. This enhanced my abilities to use technology to make sure I am updated on how to utilize the important tools an Apple Product provides.
I earned the Chatterpix badge. Chatterpix is an application in smartphones where you take an inanimate object and making it talk by using your own voice. Chatterpix is very fun for students to use. I utilized this by engaging my students with an introduction to who I am. Kids can also use this to enhance their ability to utilize an iPad from taking pictures, using the microphone, and being creative.
I earned the Copyright and Plagiarism Badge. I watched two videos about these two topics, and I wrote a reflection about the videos and what I learned. This badge was efficient as the videos were very informational in a short time manner. It also enhances my knowledge about these two topics and why they are important in today's world and effective by telling me the difference between the two ideas.
I earned the Jeopardy! Badge. This website is where teachers can create their own Jeopardy! game for students to review, learn a lesson, or for fun! I used it for different categories in science, math, and English. This website is very effective for students to remember the content easily in a way that is fun. It is also engaging as students are competing (or working together) and trying to win by utilizing what they know.
I earned the Kahoot Badge. This is a really fun platform to have kids compete or work collaboratively on a topic about anything in a trivial manner. I did simple counting for kindergartners. This engages kids with its fun colors and music to learn the material. This also enhances the actual lesson or review than a standard paper study guide.
I earned the Personal Identity Badge. I watched a video about social media and how you present yourself on the web. The video was effective to provide me information about social media and how posts never really get deleted, even if the account it private people from an outside source can find what you posted, etc.
I earned the Production Badge. I utilized a green screen app to show the standard of different community helpers. This badge was efficient as it saved time for students to watch the video instead of doing a worksheet and it was easy to do. This was also effective for students who are nervous to present in front of people. They can use this to be behind the camera and be their authentic selves. It was also engaging as I provided some fun commentary and fun images to grasp the attention of the students.
I earned the Smore badge. This website allows you to make a newsletter for your classroom. I put an example of what a newsletter for my class would look like. This was efficient as it was very easy to use and it saves lots of paper since it is an e-newsletter. It engages parents to see what their kids are doing and how they can get involved in the classroom.
I earned the Symbaloo Badge. Symbaloo is a website where you can bookmark different websites, videos, games, and many more for your students. This is efficient as you have all your favorite resources in one place and can access them easily. This saves time for students and teachers where you do not have to keep typing the website or trying to find a specific video.
I earned the Wakelet Badge. Wakelet is a website where you can put databases, tweets, google docs, videos, pictures, and many more about a topic of your choice into one place. Wakelet is very effective for students as they can focus on that single topic without anything to have them be sidetracked. This is also efficient as the student does not have to move to one tab to another since it is all in one place and it saves time for the teacher to repeatedly trying to find a database.
Knowledge of Technology

This is my Professional Development image before taking W200. My three strengths included "How to Use a Search Engine," "Using Communication Technologies," and "Digital Etiquette." The three areas I had a low score on were "Incorporating technology in lesson plans," "Using Database Software," and "Using a Blogging Software." I want to expand my skills to operate different software and hopefully apply them in my class.

This is my Professional Development image after taking W200. The three areas that I improved upon a lot are how to make learning more efficient by using technology, how to make learning more effective by using technology, and I am comfortable in advocating for technology integration for my future school. There are more skills that I improved upon such as using database software, using multimedia software, etc.
